My friend, Laurie Eisenhardt, kindly fired the students' clay faces, even as she is in the midst of working on a mosaic mural commission for the prenatal clinic at Henry Ford Hospital. We tried different techniques instead of glazing and firing them again. Some are left as they came out of the kiln, some are painted with bronze acrylic paint with shoe polish over that, and some have a combination of colored pencil drawn on them with a little shoe polish.
