All the SK students now have their own personal pencil case supplied with a pencil and eraser and a handmade sketchbook. They begin class by picking up their pencil case, sketchbook and a clipboard and sit to listen to the instructions for the day while sketching. Yesterday one student began class by saying he couldn't think of what to paint. I was able to point out the drawing in his sketchbook of leaves falling from a tree and there was the answer.
The hoya plant has blossomed!
Here are a few interesting Land of Illusion collages from the 5/6 grades.
All the students have been experimenting with India ink using brushes and bamboo and metal nib pens. I will post their beautiful work soon.
