Exploring Patterns in Nature and Crayons

 This week we explored patterns in nature that meander and branch, as well as spirals, polygons, and circles. After experimenting with crayons, holding them like a pencil and drawing bold and soft lines and textures with the tip, and using the sides of crayons to draw soft and bold shapes and textures, we made compositions using nature's patterns and the children's imaginations. The older students used oil crayons.
