In our elements book we read about rain ceremonies, floods and Noah's Ark, the city of Atlantis, mermaids, fish, and other imagery for water, the most prevalent element used as subject matter in all the arts. We are employing water, to paint water, with India ink and watercolor. The children enjoy drawing with bamboo pens as well as painting with brushes.
