Pinch and Coil Pots

The first through fourth grade students shaped bowls and cups first by experimenting with the pinch technique and then rolling coils. I suggested making them interesting by adding the human face or animal imagery. They learned techniques for modeling clay faces when Monica's older students taught them what they had learned on a field trip.
