Chris' class and I walked up to the third floor of the Natural History Museum where we found my friend Karen Klein drawing a fox with water color and color pencil. She frequently draws insects, animals, and birds at the museum. It really is worth taking a look at her magnificent work on her web site at: http://www.kaklein.com/ Karen talked to the students for twenty minutes or so about her work and techniques and then they went off to find an animal to draw. Many of the children expressed an interest in this activity and might enjoy going back with their families to draw!
Thank you, Karen!
