Beginnings

As the lower school art teacher at SK I send a warm welcome to all the new and returning students and parents. I've posted a painting by Paul Klee as inspiration for the first month's theme which is explorers of the world. Keri Smith's book is serving as inspiration for our explorations in art this fall, and the world of color is a place where we can make infinite discoveries. George will bring insight into the science of color into the classroom. I am excited be in the art room again with familiar children, to meet new students, and to be immersed in the wonder and beauty of color!
