Karl Blossfeldt

Students in the third through sixth grades looked carefully at Karl Blossfeldt nature photographs and drew the shades of dark and light with graphite powder that they carefully observed. They started by rubbing a gray shade with a chamois cloth into the paper, then brought out the whites with a kneadable eraser, and used graphite sticks and pencils to draw the darker values.
